You alerted a sheer 25% above your quote, that is a lot!

This actually depends on the volume of the original quote. 25% of a 100 hrs = 25 hrs = a lot. 25% of 8 hrs = 2 hours..... Time flies if you're searching for the cause of a bug or bump into an unforeseen event/problem.

Why not a fixed price?

The Peep system stands midway an hourly rate and a fixed price. The Peep system applies in situations where both extremes (hourly rate versus fixed price) are neither reasonable nor feasible.

You are far too late to alert!

Some peeps can be given upfront. Others can't. If it can be done, it should be done and we will in most cases.

If customers however want extra or more last minute, we would simply need a crystal ball to be able to alert upfront.

More hours, ok - but now you also going over your deadline....

We work according to a planning. We service several customers in a work week. Unfortunately we can't always prevent a deadline being delayed if we have to do more or change work. A deadline is sacred, but we can't squeeze 40 hrs in a day.

The possibilities we do have:

  1. adding experts to the team (but that is not always a solution to meet a deadline, communication time goes up)
  2. to be informed as early as possible on what changes or will be added (so we can adjust our planning easier)
