What is in it for us to give presentations?
To get to know people that are or become passionate of the innovative power of the blockchain technology.
Invitation
Bitcoin and its underlaying Blockchain is just a start of whole new line of work and innovative technology. Would your group be interested in a session about this subject? I could organise speakers that go into this subject.
Step-up presentation-sequence
Your meeting will have a specific audience and theme for the occasion. Here's what we can offer:
a. first a more general presentation and discussion (0.5-1hrs): my virtual 'me' and the blockchain. What does it mean to me, how do I anticipate on the developments in the coming years? Discussing the blockchain is like discussion the web back in 1994: it truly is a tremendous invention. And it is here to stay. Better get used to it soon.
b. Secondly a talk on specific architectural issues in line with the audiences background. For example: the audience is a group of C++ developers. There's a few blockchains/cryptocoins in the Top20 based on C(++/#), We team up with a speaker from those "coins" (blockchains) with an expert knowledge of the blockchain's features and characteristics. Suppose we would have a group of frontend designers/templatebuiders that share expertise in NodeJS. Then we would have the same architectural speaker that puts emphasis on different subjects in his talk, but we could step-up in a different manner than in case of the C++ programmers group.
c. A technical workshop of 2 or 3 hours for a selection of people that already have taken part of the discussions in a. and b. (important for the effectiveness of the workshop).
Example focal group "Java-User-Group": a. Henk van Cann (0.5-1hrs): my virtual 'me' and the blockchain b. NXT foundation member Bas Wisselink on the architecture and Java-based components in NXT 0.5-1hour. c. Later a technical workshop (2-3 hrs) is possible for those interested, by an Israelian NXT core member Lior Yaffe, he is expected to be in the Netherlands somewhere this summer.
